Battle of beats: Nl vs Japan
Battle of the Beats returns… but this time, it goes international! This special edition is inspired by the World Championship spirit.
Because the Netherlands faces Japan during the opening match period, we decided to turn this edition into a unique cross-cultural producer challenge together with Tokyo-based artist and producer Kiiro.

Your challenge is simple: create a track using sounds from both countries and blend the two musical worlds into one production. During the event, all participants get 2 hours to create their best beat, followed by a live listening session where tracks are played for the audience and judged by the panel.
Whether you already produce music or have never joined a beat battle before, this event is an incredibly fun and effective way to improve your production skills. Beat battles force you to improve your production skills. Beat battles force you to make faster creative decisions, trust your instincts and discover which parts of music production come naturally to you, and which parts still need development.
Besides the competition, Battle of the Beats is also one of the most social and energetic events at MPA. Producers work side by side, exchange ideas, hear completely different approaches to the same samples and celebrate together.

50% Dutch samples
50% Japanese samples
Kiiro will be part of the jury for this edition. With production experience in both Japan and the Netherlands, he brings a unique perspective to this international Battle of Beats.
