STAGES OF THE COURSE

PRO ARTIST PLAN
  • Artist goals
  • Musical goals
  • Level up

In-depth knowledge of sound design is essential for shaping your unique style and establishing your identity as an artist.

How do you translate the sounds in your mind into your DAW? What choices are pivotal in achieving your distinctive signature sound? How can you craft a sound that is unmistakably yours? These lessons are your pathway to uncovering the answers to these questions.

ADVANCED PRODUCTION LESSONS
  • Advanced mixing & synthesis
  • Composition and harmony
  • Creative vocal processing

In these hands-on sessions, you’ll be experimenting with both software synths and vintage or modern hardware synthesizers.

Expect insights from synth experts and sound design maestros. Each instructor is renowned for their mastery of synthesis and the distinct sounds that define their music. The only boundary here is your own imagination. Let’s explore the boundless possibilities of advanced synthesis and sound design together.

Explore the basics of composition and dive deep into advanced music theory. Grasp the principles that go into crafting catchy melodies and harmonies, and discover how these elements amp up the emotional vibe of your music. Get ready for some listening exercises and pinpoint areas for improvement in your music theory game.

A good mix, in whatever genre, can make the difference between a disappointing amount of plays or being signed by a record label. That’s why you’ll be jumping in the world of advanced compression techniques, the usage of noise gates, reverb and more, group mixing, the advanced appliance of EQ’s, etc. to fully prepare you as a professional mixing engineer.

Unleash your creativity in vocal processing. Learn innovative techniques to manipulate and enhance vocal recordings, adding a unique sonic dimension to your electronic music productions.

EXPANDING YOUR OWN BRAND
  • Writing songs & collaborations
  • Executive & ghost producing
  • Artist & brand development

Presenting yourself as an artist at the beginning of your career is invaluable. How do you present yourself in the club? How do you profile your act online? What are the “do’s & don’ts” during networking? Experts who have built an international brand share their tips and experiences on this subject.

As an assignment, you’ll be researching an artist you or the masses respect, and you’ll analyze how this act has made the right (or wrong!) choices to get where they are now. Finally, you will put everything into practice for your persona.

This isn’t just about making music; it’s about making a mark. Join us as we unravel the intricacies of artist development and branding, where your story as a musician begins to unfold.

Explore the roles of executive producing and ghost producing in the music industry. Understand the responsibilities and opportunities associated with these roles, gaining insights into the business side of music production.

SESSIONS
  • Track feedback sessions
  • Writing sessions
  • Collaborations

Crafting a couple of catchy loops might be a breeze, but weaving them into a captivating track that keeps the listener hooked is a whole different ballgame. In this segment of the course, we’re diving into the realm of song creation, placing a spotlight on harmonics, composition writing, and the art of recording and editing vocals. Most of all, we’ll weigh in on peer feedback on our Track Feedback Sessions.

But here’s where the plot thickens – collaboration takes center stage. Picture this: you’re not just learning the ropes of songwriting; you’re delving into the world of collaboration in electronic music. We’re talking about effective ways to structure and arrange your compositions and exploring the magic that happens when creative minds come together.

From hooks to basslines and an arsenal of creative techniques, these lessons aren’t just about strengthening your foundation; they’re your ticket to taking your track to the next level. Get ready to amplify your music through collaboration, where the real magic happens.

Armed with this knowledge, you’ll be equipped to make informed decisions that propel your act to its full potential and foster a thriving community around your music. The legal side of the music industry – an important topic to become successful in the world of music. In this segment, we’ll delve into the intricacies of music law, answering crucial questions that every artist should know. How do you handle royalties and percentages? What are the potential legal pitfalls you should avoid? We’ll demystify the rights of producers, authors, and other artists.

But that’s not all – we’re dedicating ample time to understanding the roles of record labels, music publishers, BUMA/STEMRA, and SENA.
